Beams Larix decidua - rough-cut
Squared timbers also called corner timbers are sawed from roundwood and provided with four rectangular surfaces. Squared timbers are sawn, fresh or air-dried and are marketed separately or, if desired, also made with marrow. Squared timbers can also be used constructively depending on the class or they are used as wooden beams. In the past, the wooden beams were not made by sawing, but by hewing with the broad hatchet.
