3-layer wall panel reclaimed Sp/Fi/Pi type 1A polished
The wall panelling with three-layer construction made of reclaimed wood is bevelled and offers the possibility of mounting individual planks on the wall as well as on the ceiling. The 3-layer old wood planks are supplied with longitudinal grooves on two sides and are connected with a supplied external tongue. The top lamellas in old wood spruce/fir/pine type 1A (2nd patina) are cut from old beams, lightly steamed and sanded. They have a beautiful worm pattern with slight cracks.
Available width
Plank width between 100 and 300 mm, on customer request also in special or fixed widths
Available lengths
according to parts list or fixed lengths of 1500, 1800, 2000, 2200, 2560, 3000, 3500 and 4000 mm, lengths over 4000 mm available on request.
Structure
Thickness 19 mm = 6.5/6.5/6.5 mm, other thicknesses on request
Middle layer
The middle layer of the 3-layer wall cladding made of old wood consists of "new spruce". On customer request, we process the middle layers with special properties (e.g. fire protection or lightweight construction).
Rear side/counterdraught
By using reclaimed wood (2nd patina) on the reverse side wall panelling remains quieter and more stable than solid wood planks or low-priced industrial productions. The backside is sanded as standard and not patched.
Range of application
The wall panelling offers a wide range of applications for walls and ceilings.
Optics: patching
Cracks or knotholes are patched exclusively by hand using real wood. The result is a visually harmonious and natural old wood surface. We do not use silicone or similar chemical fillers for patching, as these only spoil the look and feel of a surface. Chemically repaired areas attract dust and are difficult to clean.
Optics: grading
Only trained and motivated personnel with sufficient experience create old wood surfaces with a unique character. A harmonious appearance and consistent quality for each plank is particularly important. Precise guidelines and a great deal of intuition for a balanced grading prevent murals with a "zebra look", which disturb the overall picture and make it appear unsettled.
Optics: glue joints
The glue joints are always pressed together and form a visually uniform plank appearance. In the case of inferior industrial production, open glue joints not only impair the appearance, but also the load-bearing capacity and service life of three-layer wall panelling.
Optics: Pests
Only an infestation of the knock beetle beautifies the old wood and gives the surface a unique look. We do not use any raw wood for our three-layer wall panels that has been destroyed by the house longhorn beetle or by white, brown and blue rot.
